FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Getting started

How does AvantLiving work?
Upload a photo of a room, tell us the room type, choose what you want done (stage, restyle, declutter, twilight or preview finishes) and pick a style. Our AI edits your photo and you download the result, usually within a couple of minutes.
Is the free sample really free?
Yes. Each email gets one free staged photo with no card required. The sample is watermarked and lower resolution. Paid photos are full resolution and unmarked.
What kind of photos work best?
Bright, level, in-focus photos taken from a corner, showing plenty of floor. Empty rooms give the best staging. The guide on photographing a room for staging covers this in detail.
How long does it take?
About one to two minutes per photo. Batches run several photos at a time.

Pricing and credits

How does pricing work?
You buy a pack of photo credits. Each photo you stage, restyle, declutter, twilight-edit or preview uses one credit. Packs run from 12 photos for $49 to 400 photos for $799, which is $4.08 down to $2.00 per photo.
Do credits expire?
No. Buy once and use them whenever you have a listing.
What if a render fails or looks wrong?
If a render fails, the credit is returned automatically. If a result looks off, run the photo again with different notes. We are also glad to help: write to hello@avantliving.com.
Do you offer subscriptions?
Not yet. Packs are simple and there is no recurring charge. If you would like a monthly plan or volume pricing for a brokerage, contact us.
Do you offer refunds?
If the studio is not working for you, tell us within 14 days of purchase and we will make it right, including refunding unused credits.

Quality and rules

Does the AI change the room itself?
The instructions tell the model to keep walls, windows, doors, floors and fixtures exactly as photographed and change only furniture and decor. AI is not perfect, so always check each image before you publish it.
Do I have to disclose that photos are virtually staged?
In most markets, yes. Label every virtually staged, decluttered or otherwise altered photo, and do not use editing to hide damage or misstate a property. Our disclosure guide has wording you can adapt. Check your MLS and local rules, because they vary.
Can I use the images on the MLS, Zillow or my own website?
Yes, if the platform's rules allow altered photos and you label them. Some platforms restrict edits to photos of short-term rentals. See the guide for hosts.
Who owns the images?
You do. You are free to use images created from your own photos in your marketing.

Privacy

What happens to my photos?
Photos are sent to our image provider to create the edit and are held in server memory for a limited time so you can download the results. We do not sell them and we do not use them for marketing.
Do you keep my results forever?
No. Download your images when they are ready. Results are kept for about 12 hours.
